Air Lock Windproof Self-Adhesive Window Seal Strips

Air Lock Window Seal Strips from Gearnook are foam weatherstripping for the gaps around windows and doors. The strip has a self-adhesive backing, so you peel off the liner and press it onto the frame, where it compresses to fill the gap and cut down on the drafts and leaked air that pass through it.

The foam is polyurethane, with a profile that measures about 7 mm tall and 30 mm wide. It comes on a roll in five lengths, from 4 metres up to 40 metres, so you can buy enough for a single window or do every door in the house. Color options are gray, brown and white to blend in with most frames.

Polyurethane foam is soft and flexible, which helps it seal uneven gaps, but it is not as hard-wearing as rubber under heavy use or direct sun. The adhesive needs a clean, dry frame to grip properly, so wipe the surface down before fitting it. Each order is a single length in one color, and the strip ships on its own with no tools included.
