Baby Guard Sliding Window Lock

The Baby Guard Sliding Window Lock is a small safety device that keeps sliding windows from being pushed open by young children. It mounts onto the window with screws and blocks the sliding panel, while an adult can release it when the window needs to open. Each lock is built from zinc alloy, iron, and copper, and measures 40 mm long, 37 mm wide, and 19 mm tall. The two screw holes sit 30 mm apart, the screws are 19 mm long, and the lock protrusion is 10 mm. Each piece weighs 45 grams. It comes in silver or white to suit common window frames.

It fits most standard sliding windows, though not every window, so check that your frame has room for a screw-mounted lock before fitting. Because it attaches with screws rather than adhesive, the hold is firm but installation leaves small holes in the frame.
