Bluetooth Knitted Music Headband

The Bluetooth Knitted Music Headband from Nubbin is a knitted acrylic band with thin Bluetooth speakers sewn inside, positioned to sit over your ears. It pairs with your phone over Bluetooth 4.2 with EDR at a range of about 10 meters, plays in left and right stereo, and you change the volume by touching the controller on the band. There are no earbuds to push in and no cable to manage.

A full charge takes about 2 hours over USB and gives you 6 to 7 hours of playback, with up to 48 hours on standby. The USB port sits under the volume controller, so any laptop, power bank or phone adapter can top it up. The Bluetooth module detaches from the band, so once the knit gets sweaty you can pull the electronics out and wash the headband on its own.

The soft acrylic knit absorbs sweat and grips without sliding, which makes it easy to wear running, at the gym, on cold-weather walks or lying down, since nothing hard presses against your ear. It comes in black, dark grey, ivory and red and measures 21 by 6 cm. The flat speakers are built for music and calls on the move rather than studio detail, and there is no noise cancelling.
