The Digital Measuring Caliper Ruler Tool is Cableton's digital vernier caliper, a precision hand tool for anyone who needs exact measurements at home or on the job. Two sets of jaws and a sliding depth probe let it read inside diameter, outside diameter, depth and step, so one tool covers most measuring jobs around a workshop, garage or hobby bench.

Readings show on a large LCD instead of an etched scale, so there is no squinting to line up the marks. One button switches between inch and millimeter, and you can set the display to zero at any point along the slide, which makes measuring the difference between two parts simple. It runs on an LR44 button battery and powers itself off after about 5.5 minutes of no use to save the cell.

It comes in three options: a 100mm caliper in black, and a longer 150mm (6 inch) caliper in black or silver. One thing to know up front: the supplier sheet gives conflicting figures for the housing material and the stated accuracy, so we are not quoting those numbers here. For critical machining tolerances, treat this as a general-purpose caliper rather than a certified instrument.
