Easy Vegetable Holding Slicer

The Easy Vegetable Holding Slicer is a simple handheld tool for cutting even slices. You press the row of pins into an onion, tomato, potato, cucumber, carrot or lemon, then run your knife between the pins. The vegetable stays put instead of rolling or sliding, the slices come out a consistent width, and your fingers stay back from the blade.

The pins are food-grade stainless steel set into a wide ABS plastic handle, so the tool holds its shape and rinses clean. There are ten pins arranged in a row. The same pins work on softer foods like bacon and cheese, and you can push them into a cut of meat to help seasoning soak in before cooking.

It measures about 10.7 by 8 cm and weighs roughly 30 grams, so it is light and easy to store in a drawer. From Cableton, it comes in green, blue, white or orange. Note that it is a holding and guiding tool, not a powered slicer, so you still cut with your own knife.
